Small and pleasant hotel
At the end of the boulevard right next to the lake, which is one of the most beautiful spots of Harderwijk, the pleasant family
hotel Monopole is situated. For more then twenty years, the hotel has been in the hands of the family Posthumus, who, over
the years, put much commitment and devotion to it.
Café restaurant
The hotel is also known for its exquisit Café Restaurant which offers place for about 100 guests. A wonderful outside terrace
with view on the lake Wolderwijd offers place to about 200 guests and is especially in the summer a great spot to enjoy the
peaceful atmosphere of the little hotel.
All tables of the Café Restaurant Monopole offer a great view on the lake. The location at the end of the boulevard is one of
the quietest and most beautiful spots of the city centre. The front side of the Monopole faces the lake Wolderwijd and offers
a great view from each room. Just around the corner our guests are able to enjoy the sparkling city centre of Harderwijk.

enjoyable stay for all guests.
The hotel offers 19 rooms, that are situated on the first and the second floor. They can easily be reached by elevator or stairs.
All our rooms have a bathroom with shower or bath, a toilet, telephone, alarm clock radio, refrigerator and colour television.
Our guests are also offered to use our internet-network free of charge, if you have a laptop with wireless Internet connection.
Surroundings

The centre of Harderwijk is easily reachable in less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Shopping- lovers will be pleased in
Harderwijk
as well. Additionally, the little city is known for its many lovely restaurants and Cafés. The Harderwijk town museum,
the restored
town mills “De Hoop, the old “Vischpoort” or the well-known “Eel smokehouse” are certainly worth a visitation.
Recommended are the daily tours by a city guide or a cruise at the lake “Wolderwijd”. In the evening you can catch a movie or
visit one of the many cafés. If you prefer to spend the evening in a quiet manner, enjoy a lovely sunset on our outside terrace.
In the direct surroundings of Harderwijk you find among others the Dolfinarium, Walibi World, the monkey park Apenheul and
the Dierenpark Amersfoort.
The Hotel Monopole is situated relatively central and it is reachable from the A28 and N305 within five minutes.

The Restaurant offers place to about 100 guests who can enjoy dinner in a lovely ambiance. The menu card is well known for
its fish dishes, but also meat –lovers will find themselves in an exquisit restaurant. Inspired on the french kitchen, the attractive
restaurant offers dishes for every taste. The terrace of the restaurant offers place to about 200 guests.
All tables offer a lovely view on the lake Wolderwijd.
Both the à la carte menu card and plate service menu card offer a surprisingly choice menu with fresh fish and other products,
and there are also vegetarian dishes.
